The second generation brings improved optical clarity over the original Viper 1-6, with better glass that provides excellent twilight clarity for target identification in early morning and late evening conditions. Extra-low dispersion (XD) glass increases resolution and color fidelity while proprietary XR fully multi-coated coatings maximize light transmission across all air-to-glass surfaces.

The VMR-2 reticle, borrowed directly from the Razor HD line, combines an illuminated center dot with practical subtensions for ranging, holdover, and windage corrections. At 1x, the true 1x magnification and phenomenal edge-to-edge eyebox allow for both-eyes-open shooting, functioning nearly like a large red dot.
