Sig MCX Spear-LT 11.5"

The MCX-SPEAR LT 11.5-inch 5.56 is the current short 5.56 branch of SIG's commercial MCX-SPEAR LT line. It benefits from the broader MCX evolution, but it should not be described as the same thing as the full-size NGSW MCX-SPEAR or as a confirmed adoption-specific military variant.

Key improvements over the previous MCX Virtus include a lightened handguard and barrel profile while maintaining durability, return to AR-15 trigger compatibility allowing users to install their preferred trigger packs, and a new coyote brown finish. The cold-hammer-forged barrel features Sig's SL muzzle device designed for quick-detach compatibility with their SLX and SLH suppressors. The adjustable short-stroke gas piston system ensures reliable function with or without suppressors, while the ambidextrous bolt catch and release join the already ambidextrous safety and magazine release for true bilateral operation.

The 11.5-inch 5.56 is sold as both a braced pistol and a stocked SBR at the same SIG MSRP. They share the core upper and barrel length but are distinct configurations with different paperwork.
