The FarrowTech FXR Gen 2 is a PDW chassis built only for the Ruger RXM. It takes the RXM without permanent modification, and FarrowTech includes the tools and hardware for the swap. The buyer configures three things: a G19 or G17 grip-frame length, a side-folding or telescoping mechanism, and the endplate, which can be an SBR stock, a SteadyBrace with a polymer or aluminum brace (or no brace), or a Tailhook interface with or without a Tailhook MOD1 or MOD1C.
FarrowTech prints the grip frame and small parts in Nylon 12 in house and machines the rest: a bent 5052 aluminum top cover, a 6061 aluminum top Picatinny rail, 4140 steel telescoping rods, and an 1144 Stressproof steel front pin. FarrowTech recommends the side-folding SBR stock, or the polymer SteadyBrace as the lightest and least expensive brace option. Grip frame, folding mechanism, and endplate can be swapped later, and the chassis carries a lifetime warranty.
The FXR is the budget path into an RXM PDW next to the aluminum JL Billet Reaper, and the only one of the two that offers a G17-length grip and a telescoping stock. The SBR stock endplate makes the host a short-barreled rifle, so state SBR law applies to that configuration.
