Overview

The Ruger RXM is a Glock 19 clone built on a serialized stainless steel fire control insert (FCU) housed inside a Magpul-designed polymer grip module. Everything that matters for aftermarket support comes from the Glock ecosystem: the RXM accepts G19 slides, G19 barrels, G19 magazines, and Glock Gen 3 trigger components. The grip module is the only proprietary part, and Magpul's design fixes most of the complaints shooters have about the stock Glock frame.

The Magpul grip module features an aggressive TSP (Magpul's proprietary texture) that stays grippy when wet, an undercut trigger guard that allows a higher grip position, and a reshaped beavertail that prevents slide bite. The grip angle is closer to a 1911 than a stock Glock, which most shooters find more natural. A Picatinny accessory rail accepts standard pistol lights (TLR-1, X300, Modlite PL350). The stainless FCU is serialized, so the grip module is not a regulated part, meaning swapping to alternate Magpul modules (or future third-party options) requires no FFL transfer.

The slide ships optic-ready with Ruger's multi-footprint plate system covering RMR/507C, DeltaPoint Pro, and Holosun K-series. At $499 MSRP, the RXM undercuts a factory Glock 19 MOS by $170 while delivering a better grip, better texture, and Glock-pattern aftermarket compatibility. For anyone building a Glock-pattern carry or duty pistol who wants a head start on ergonomics, the RXM is the obvious starting point.
