Overview

The Strike Industries SMC Bravo for Ruger RXM is the first aftermarket chassis that takes the RXM serialized fire control unit out of the factory Magpul grip frame and drops it into a 1913 Picatinny brace-ready module. Strike Industries pioneered the concept on the SIG P320 with the original SMC Bravo, and the RXM version applies the same architecture to a $499 host pistol. The result is the cheapest serialized-FCU PDW platform on the market.

The chassis is polymer, 6 ounces, and measures 9.58 inches long with a compact grip profile. The defining feature is the integrated 1913 Picatinny rail at the rear of the frame, which accepts any 1913 brace (SBA3, SBA4, Strike FSA, KAK Shockwave) or rifle stock. A double-undercut trigger guard improves the high grip position for recoil management, and an integrated accessory mounting point allows for future Strike Industries add-ons. The compact grip module profile keeps the platform short enough to remain holster-compatible with PDW carriage solutions like the T.Rex Arms Sidecar PDW.

Legal note: mounting a 1913 brace on a pistol-configured RXM produces a braced pistol (the 2023 ATF brace rule was vacated by the 5th Circuit and is not being enforced). Mounting an actual rifle stock requires an ATF Form 1 SBR registration first; the One Big Beautiful Bill Act zeroed the federal making tax to $0 in 2026, but the eForm 1 registration process still applies and now runs days, not months. Check state law before mounting any stock or brace.
