Overview

The Overwatch Precision DAT (Defensive Applications Trigger) is the only mainstream flat-face trigger built specifically for the Glock 42. Apex's slim-frame Action Enhancement Kit fits the G43, G43X, and G48 but explicitly does not fit the G42, which leaves G42 owners with very few flat-face options. The DAT kit ships with a polymer flat-face trigger shoe, an Overwatch connector, and a competition trigger spring; together they reduce pre-travel by roughly 20% and shorten the reset.

Installation is drop-in. Field strip the pistol, remove the trigger group from the frame, swap the shoe and connector, replace the trigger spring, and reassemble. About 15 minutes with a punch kit. The flat face is a feel preference, not universally preferred over a curved factory shoe; some shooters find the flat profile gives more leverage on a small grip while others find it changes the index point.
