CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical

The CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical is the all-steel, full-size DA/SA 9mm that anchors the classic CZ 75 line. It weighs about 39.5 ounces unloaded, sits on CZ's signature low bore axis, and carries 18+1 rounds in CZ 75-pattern magazines. The Tactical variant runs an ambidextrous decocker rather than a manual safety, which is why it pairs with CGW's "75 decocker" trigger packages rather than the Shadow-style SAO kits.

The factory trigger is the SP-01's one soft spot and its biggest upgrade opportunity. CZ rates it at roughly 10.3 lb double-action and 3.3 lb single-action, but out of the box the SA break carries creep and the DA is heavier and grittier than a tuned gun. That gap is exactly what the aftermarket exists to close. A Cajun Gun Works trigger job, reduced-power hammer spring, and polished sear surfaces transform the SP-01 into a sub-3 lb SA gun with a smooth 6 lb DA, for a fraction of a Shadow 2's price.

The SP-01 grip frame is narrower than the Shadow 2's, so it takes different grip panels and a different magwell. That distinction matters when shopping: a Shadow 2 magwell or grip will not fit the classic 75/SP-01 frame. What the two share is the CZ 75 magazine pattern, the firing-control internals CGW tunes, and the SP-01 / full-size guide-rod platform.
