EAA / Tanfoglio
Tanfoglio-made CZ-75 pattern with 6" barrel, 15+1 capacity, and Weaver rail under $750
0-10 Scale Across 8 Axes
The EAA Witness Hunter is manufactured by Tanfoglio in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, a company that has produced CZ-75 pattern pistols since the early 1980s. The Hunter variant pairs a 6-inch barrel with the double-stack frame for 15+1 capacity, matching the Glock 40 MOS for both velocity extraction and round count at roughly the same price. The integral Weaver rail on the frame accepts full-size optics and scope rings directly without adapter plates.
The CZ-75 action provides a different manual of arms than the striker-fired Glocks: a DA/SA trigger with frame-mounted safety that can be carried cocked-and-locked or hammer-down. The SA trigger pull on the Witness Hunter is noticeably crisper than any polymer striker 10mm, though not in the same league as the Dan Wesson Razorback's single-action 1911 trigger.
At under $750, the Witness Hunter delivers hunting-grade performance at roughly half the cost of premium 10mm 1911s. The trade-off is aftermarket depth: spare parts, holsters, and accessories are limited compared to Glock 10mm platforms. This is a dedicated hunting and range gun, not an everyday carry or defensive platform. For that role, it delivers exceptional value.
Add optics, lights, and accessories to build your perfect EAA Witness Hunter 10mm.
