Soviet Arms 5.45 Krink

The Soviet Arms 5.45 Krink is a compact AKS-74U-pattern pistol rather than a shortened AKM. Its 8.4-inch 5.45x39 barrel, hinged dust cover with integrated rear sight, 90-degree combination front sight and gas block, and side-folding rear trunnion define the Krink layout. The reference configuration uses a triangle folding brace and measures 17.5 inches folded.

The operating core uses a forged bolt and carrier with a hammer-forged 4340AQ front trunnion. A side optic rail gives the pistol a more durable mounting path than treating the hinged dust cover as a generic top rail. The M24x1.5 RH muzzle carries the short Krink booster and stays separate from the 14x1 LH muzzle path used by common 7.62 AKM rifles.

Fitment needs its own branch. Full-length AK-74 handguards and ordinary fixed-stock AKM furniture should not be assumed to fit the short Krink receiver, gas system, or folding rear trunnion. Magazines and many fire-control parts follow the 5.45 AK family, but furniture and chassis parts need explicit Krink confirmation.
