The Tisas PX-5.7 is the budget entry into 5.7x28mm, a chambering that until recently meant paying FN Five-seveN money. Imported by SDS Imports and built on the same hammer-forged PX-9 frame that anchors Tisas' striker-fired 9mm line, the PX-5.7 carries 20+1 rounds and lists at $499.99 MSRP, with street pricing in the low $400s. That is more than $500 under the FN Five-seveN MRD, which puts it in the value tier of the category alongside the Ruger-57 and the KelTec PR57.

The 4.82-inch barrel feeds a full-size pistol that weighs about 25.6 ounces and wears a Picatinny accessory rail up front. An optics-ready variant runs about $65 more and accepts a mounted red dot, which suits 5.7's flat trajectory and low recoil well. Early coverage from NRA and TFB has been positive on the value proposition, treating the PX-5.7 as the budget alternative rather than a corner-cut clone.

5.7x28mm earns its niche through low recoil, high capacity, and flat trajectory, not stopping power, and ammunition remains pricier and less common than 9mm. For a shooter who wants into the cartridge without the FN premium, or who wants a high-capacity, soft-shooting range and home-defense pistol on a value budget, the PX-5.7 is the natural starting point.
