Magpul
Ambidextrous sling attachment point for AR receiver
The Magpul ASAP QD (Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point - Quick Detach) is a low-profile, precision-cast receiver end plate designed to provide a centrally-located QD sling socket at the rear of AR-15 pattern rifles. This innovative design places the sling attachment point exactly where many shooters prefer it - centered on the rifle for balanced carrying and optimal sling geometry.
Machined from precision-cast, case-hardened steel with QPQ salt bath nitride (Melonite) finish, the ASAP QD delivers extreme resistance to wear and corrosion that will outlast the rifle itself. The socket is angled slightly downward and provides more than 180 degrees of sling movement, allowing exceptional freedom of motion for transitions and manipulation. The low-profile design includes rounded edges that minimize snagging on gear and clothing.
Compatible with both mil-spec and commercial-spec carbine receiver extensions, the ASAP QD works with one-point type slings equipped with push-button quick-disconnect swivels. Installation replaces the standard receiver end plate during buffer tube installation, requiring no permanent modifications to the rifle. For shooters who want a clean, ambidextrous rear QD mount without adding bulk or weight, the ASAP QD is the industry-standard solution.
