Overview
The SX-2 Alpine HD Gen 2 60mm is the answer for a hunter who hikes to the glass. The 60mm objective gathers less light than an 85mm scope, which is the deliberate trade for a 14.4 in body that actually fits a backpack lid, and the HD glass with Diamond-Coat and Guard-ion coatings keeps the image honest at reasonable magnification. Its wide 106.8 ft field at 20x makes it a fast scanning tool on a tall tripod or a shooting-stick clamp, and the integrated mount offers both a 1/4-20 socket and an Arca-Swiss base. Push it to 60x in poor light and the smaller objective shows its limits, so treat it as a compact glassing and confirmation scope rather than a first-and-last-light detail piece.
