Dead Foot Arms packages the folding hinge with its Modified Cycle System tube, end cap, springs, plunger, and either a shortened rifle bolt carrier group or a 9mm bolt. That replacement operating system is what distinguishes it from a conventional AR hinge: Dead Foot Arms explicitly supports firing and cycling with the stock folded.
The current product offers left- or right-folding Gen 3 configurations and separate rifle-caliber and 9mm hardware. The 9mm option supports several AR-PCC feed patterns, while piston rifles require Dead Foot Arms' modification service rather than the standard direct-impingement carrier kit.
