Overview
The Magpul MOE RL Carbine Stock is a control-layout variant of the MOE family. Its reverse lever is designed so the shooter can change length of pull while the rifle remains shouldered, useful when moving between armor, slick clothing, prone, and supported positions.
The RL is otherwise a simple value stock. It fits mil-spec carbine tubes, stays lightweight, and avoids the storage and precision hardware that add weight and cost to the STR, ACS, PRS, and DT-PR families.
Key Features
- Reverse lever for shouldered length-of-pull adjustment
- Reinforced polymer MOE-family construction
- Fits mil-spec carbine receiver extensions
- Value price in the current Magpul AR stock line
- Compatible with AR15/M4 and AR10/SR25 platforms
Pros
- +Fast length-of-pull changes without breaking mount
- +Simple and inexpensive
- +Useful for armor/no-armor transitions
Cons
- −No storage
- −No friction lock or dual-tension lockup
- −Control layout may not matter for most casual builds
