The Magpul DT Carbine Stock is the modern middle of Magpul's AR stock line. It uses a dual-tension system that automatically loads the stock against the mil-spec receiver extension, reducing the wobble that pushes shooters toward the CTR friction-lock design while keeping a simpler single control lever.
The shape borrows from the Slim Line and CTR families: a sloping cheek weld, a non-slip butt pad, an integral rotation-limiting QD sling socket, and a rear sling loop. At 9.8 ounces it is heavier than the SL-K and lighter than storage stocks like the STR or ACS. Use it when the build needs a tighter, more stable carbine stock without battery tubes or precision-adjustable hardware.
