Its shorter, lower profile reduces overall length and snag points while keeping the dual-side release levers and anti-rattle fit that make the SL family feel more finished than a basic MOE stock.
At 7.8 ounces it is one of the lightest current Magpul AR stocks. The cost is cheek weld and storage space. If the rifle wears a tall optic, magnifier, or LPVO, the standard MOE SL, DT, or SL-S will be easier to index behind.
