The Magpul MOE X-22 strips the 10/22 stock down to the features a light field rifle actually needs. At 18.9 ounces it is substantially lighter than adjustable precision stocks, but it still includes interchangeable barrel trays for the factory pencil contour and aftermarket bull barrels through .920 inch. Magpul's companion bull-tray documentation expressly covers 10/22-style clone actions used in the MOE stock, which makes this a practical receiver-up custom-build choice rather than a factory-stock-only swap.
Length of pull is fixed at 13.5 inches, so the MOE does not replace the adjustable Hunter X-22 for a shared youth rifle or an optic setup that needs comb-height tuning. In return it costs less and carries easier. Two six-o'clock M-LOK slots accept a sling point or light-duty support accessory, while integral loops provide a hardware-free sling path.
