Overview
The Magpul SGA Stock for the Remington 870 (model MAG460) adds an adjustable length of pull and an adjustable comb. The stock uses spacers to change length, and optional cheek risers can raise the comb for a higher sight line.
Magpul lists the MAG460 as a drop-in stock for Remington 870 12-gauge shotguns. Remington introduced the 12-gauge TAC-14 as a Model 870 variant, so this stock fits the TAC-14 host. Magpul's product page does not list 20-gauge fitment.
Sling attachment is the strong point. The SGA includes ambidextrous QD sling cup positions plus traditional sling loops front and rear, so any sling system the user already runs (single-point, two-point, QD adapters) works without an additional purchase. Reinforced polymer construction holds up to standard 12-gauge recoil indefinitely; the angled rubber buttpad cuts felt recoil noticeably compared to the hard polymer or plastic factory pad.
For shooters using a higher sight line, the adjustable comb can help set a more repeatable cheek position.
