Magpul ACS Stock

The Magpul ACS (Adaptable Carbine/Storage) Stock provides maximum storage capacity with dual battery tubes plus a center storage compartment. At 14 ounces (0.86 lb), it's the heaviest of Magpul's tactical carbine stocks, delivering extensive storage at the cost of mobility. Each of the two battery tubes stores up to three CR123 or two AA batteries, while the center compartment provides additional space accessible via a rear rubber plug.

The ACS features the same friction lock system and enhanced cheek weld found in the CTR and STR, providing zero wobble and excellent optic alignment. The 0.30-inch thick rubber buttpad prevents slippage with body armor, and multiple sling attachment options include QD mounts. The 3.3-inch length of pull adjustment accommodates different shooters and gear configurations.

However, at 14 ounces, the ACS is significantly heavier than alternatives offering similar functionality. The ACS-L provides a center storage compartment at 12.5 ounces (1.5 oz lighter), while the STR offers dual battery tubes at 12.3 ounces (1.7 oz lighter). Most users find the ACS's triple storage capacity excessive for their needs, making the lighter ACS-L or STR better choices for practical applications.
