Overview
The SA5 Pro is Sylvan Arms' 4140-steel folding adapter for mil-spec AR-15s, many AR-10s, and compatible 9mm AR carriers. It weighs 9.4 ounces, threads into the standard 1-3/16x16 receiver-extension interface, and is sold in left- and right-folding versions.
Sylvan adds an adjustable hinge-tension mechanism to control folding resistance. Fitment is not universal: the company excludes Tippmann .22, LWRC, and Extar EP9 hosts, and some 9mm carriers need their internal weight removed before the carrier extension can be installed.
