MTM AC50C .50 Caliber Ammo Can

The MTM AC50C is the polymer answer to the steel .50 cal can, and for indoor storage it is the smarter buy. The body is rugged polypropylene, so it will never rust, never needs a replacement gasket, and weighs roughly a third of what a steel M2A1 does. MTM's tongue-and-groove O-ring seal makes the can water-resistant for dry storage, and dual latches plus double padlock tabs lock the lid securely.

At 13.5 by 7.4 by 8.5 inches outside, the AC50C is a polymer .50-cal-style can sized for the same bulk loads of loose ammunition as a steel can. The molded handle stays comfortable under a full load, and the recessed lid lets cans stack high without sliding.

The one limit to understand: water-resistant is not submersible. The O-ring seal keeps humidity and splashes out, which is exactly what you want for a basement, closet, or safe, but MTM does not rate the can for underwater immersion. For long-term storage, add a silica gel desiccant canister inside and the AC50C becomes a rust-proof, humidity-controlled box at a price that makes buying several painless.
