Overview
The Taurus TX22 disconnector swap is a five-minute job that goes badly in one specific way: the sear housing is full of small pins and springs under tension, and the moment the disconnector pin comes out, anything that is not held in place leaves. This block exists to hold the housing while that happens. It is two pieces shaped around the TX22 sear housing, so the housing seats in a pocket that supports it from both sides instead of balancing on a bench.
The working sequence is short. Put the sear housing in the block, push the disconnector pin out with the 1/16 in punch or a vise, lift out the factory disconnector, drop in the replacement, flip the block over, and press the pin back in. The block does the alignment for you, which is the other half of its value: pressing a pin back through a housing you are holding by hand means fighting to line up two holes that will not stay lined up.
