Overview
The A.R.T. MAC-11/VMAC9/MPA 2-Position System is Advanced Reset Technology's forced reset system for the traditional Cobray M-11/9 and the full-size 9mm MAC-pattern guns built around it. It is a separate product from ART's 3-position MPA Defender system, and it is the first steel reset system whose maker lists tested fitment across Cobray, Leinad, VMAC9, and MPA30 hosts in one kit.
ART lists eight tested platforms: the SWD/Cobray M-11/9, FMJ M-11/9, Leinad M-11/9, Leinad PM-11, Leinad CM-11, MasterPiece Arms MPA30 in top-charging and side-charging form, Velocity VMAC9, and Vulcan VMAC-9. Fitment is limited to semi-automatic, closed-bolt 9mm configurations, and ART notes that fitment can vary by manufacturer, production year, receiver dimensions, and aftermarket parts.
This is not a drop-in. The upper receiver needs added clearance for the reset lever, cut with the purpose-built alignment jig included in the kit, and Cobray and VMAC hosts require removal of the denial bar. ART recommends professional installation and a safety inspection. The design is ART's steel adaptation of Toadlicker556's open-source MPA FRD, revised for the timing of M-11-pattern guns.
