The upper is the heart of the conversion. Midnight Machine builds the RPR system into it, then pairs that upper with a new trigger shoe and prevention device. Keep all three pieces together; they are the operating package Midnight Machine designed for the TP9.
Midnight Machine says the prevention device is meant to stop hammer follow, light primer strikes, and firing before the action reaches battery. That makes it required operating hardware, not a spare part to leave in the box.
Finish is the only variant decision. Black is the base option; Coyote Tan, Alpine Green, Stormtrooper White, Sniper Grey, and RAL8000 use the same listed mechanism. Pick the color you want after matching the kit to the host.
Start with the complete RPR kit and the B&T TP9 named by Midnight Machine. Generic AR instructions and procedures for other B&T reset systems do not apply to this upper. The TP9 route is the RPR upper, its trigger shoe, and its prevention device installed together.
Before disassembly, get two things from Midnight Machine: the current installation manual and a written description of all three selector positions. A 3-position label tells you how many stops the selector has, not what each stop does. If the maker cannot supply both answers, leave the TP9 assembled.
