Bolt-carrier slip trip that enables forced reset on an MP5 running an AR Super Safety lower
The AS Designs MP5 Slip Trip V5 is the small, cheap part that does the mechanical work in an AR-Super-Safety-based MP5 forced reset setup. It is not a trigger on its own. It is the slip/trip that installs on the rear of the bolt carrier group; when the carrier cycles, the reset lever sits between the back of the carrier and the Slip Trip and forces the trigger back into reset. It only makes sense as part of a system: you need an AR fire control group inside an MP5 lower (a Leber V2-spec lower or an AS Designs lower) plus an AR Super Safety selector, then the Slip Trip completes the loop.
That system dependency is why it sells as a standalone part. Builders running an AS Designs or Leber AR-FCG MP5 lower replace or upgrade the trip without buying a new selector or lower, and the V5 is the current revision. It comes in two materials: 7075 aluminum at $59.99 and titanium at $99.99. The titanium version trades cost for weight and wear resistance at the carrier interface.
Install is at the rear of the BCG, after which the carrier goes back in the upper and the lower reattaches while keeping the reset lever positioned between the carrier and the trip. It is the least expensive single piece in the MP5 forced reset ecosystem, but only because it assumes you already own the rest of the system. Verify current federal, state, and local law before purchase.
