The NSPEC Innovations 10/22 FRT is a forced reset trigger for the Ruger 10/22 that installs into the factory OEM or Ruger BX trigger pack. It is machined from 316 stainless steel in the USA and resets the trigger using bolt motion while still firing one round per trigger pull. At an MSRP of $69.99 it undercuts the Mars 10/22 FRT by roughly $220, which is the reason to consider it.
The tradeoff is installation. NSPEC is explicit that this is not a plug-and-play part: it is intended for experienced users comfortable with light hand-fitting and polishing depending on your receiver, bolt, and trigger pack. You must run a metal trigger shoe, because the polymer factory shoe is not compatible with the steel reset lever, and NSPEC recommends CCI Mini-Mag for reliable cycling. It fits Ruger OEM and BX trigger packs, 10/22-spec bolts, and most 10/22 clones using OEM-style bolts.
Buy it if you want a rimfire FRT on a budget and you are willing to do the fitting work. If you want adjustable reset and a cleaner install, the Mars 10/22 unit is the easier path. Confirm forced reset triggers are legal in your state before buying.
