NSPEC Innovations
Stainless steel reset-assist device for the KRISS Vector with broad generation fitment and a break-in-heavy install.
+12 more
The NSPEC Innovations Mongoose is a stainless steel forced-reset device for the KRISS Vector, and NSPEC states plainly that it is a forced-reset device, not a full-auto conversion. The Super V bolt cycle drives the trigger forward to speed reset while the gun stays semi-automatic. Fitment is broad: Gen2, Gen2.1, and Gen3 Vectors across every centerfire chambering, including .45 ACP, 10mm, .40 S&W, and 9mm. Gen1 guns need a separate trigger pack and are not covered as a drop-in.
The Mongoose asks more of the installer than the drop-in triggers in this field. NSPEC calls for roughly 350 or more rounds of break-in, and for polishing three friction surfaces before use: the bolt lugs, the Mongoose component itself, and the action rail guides. Heavy lubrication is required through break-in, either a high-temp grease or ATF4, and NSPEC is explicit that early running needs more lube than a shooter might expect. This is a device that rewards setup work and punishes a dry, unpolished install with inconsistent reset.
At under $85 the Mongoose is a value-priced entry into Vector reset assistance for owners willing to do the polishing and break-in. Forced-reset trigger legality is state-specific and evolving; confirm current federal, state, and local law before ordering.
