RMR-footprint enclosed-emitter carry and duty optic with a larger sight window

The Springfield Prodigy has no direct optic footprint. It uses the Agency Optic System: a pocket milled into the slide that takes a steel plate, with the red dot bolting to the plate instead of to the slide. AOS plates are machined from billet steel and each one carries an integral rear sight, so the plate is your backup sight as well as your optic mount. Springfield ships the pistol with a HEX Dragonfly compatible plate. The Trijicon RMR pattern, which also covers Holosun 407C, 507C and 508T class dots, mounts through an AOS plate cut for that footprint, and C&H Precision's V4 AOS plate for the Prodigy builds the rear sight into it.
Two things trip Prodigy buyers. The plate in the box is not the plate most people want, since Springfield fits a HEX Dragonfly compatible plate and an RMR-pattern dot needs a different one. And because the rear sight is machined into the plate, changing plates changes your rear sight, which makes the plate a sighting decision rather than a bare spacer. The good news is that there is no non-optic Prodigy slide to avoid: the 4.25-inch, 5-inch, and Comp models all ship as AOS guns.
