GTA 6 Guns: Duke 556, ARs, AKs and Shotguns in Extended Look

Rockstar's 26-minute Extended Look is captured entirely from in-game PlayStation 5 footage. The gun scenes are spread across robberies, a police chase, a penthouse assault, and the closing office firefight, so the video is worth watching before comparing the frames below.

The strongest gun identification arrives near the end. At 25:08, Jason moves over a rifle on the office floor and the pickup prompt reads Duke 556 Assault Rifle. After he picks it up, the HUD changes from a pistol to a rifle silhouette and displays a 30-round loaded count.

The weapon's receiver, straight magazine, pistol grip, stock, and front-sight profile place it in the AR family. Duke 556 is Rockstar's fictional label. “556” follows the familiar 5.56 naming convention, while the video stops at the name and silhouette rather than opening a caliber or specification screen.

Around 14:00, Jason reaches into the back seat during a police chase and comes up with a short AR-pattern firearm fitted with a long suppressor. There is no shoulder stock. The rear ends at a pistol buffer tube with a protective cover, making this an AR-pattern pistol configuration rather than a stocked carbine.

The interesting part is configuration. The chase gun could be a suppressed pistol version of the Duke 556 or another gun built on the same visual family. GTA 6 treats it as a distinct loadout in use, complete with a compact vehicle-storage scene; the video leaves its relationship to the floor-pickup Duke unnamed.

This list stays inside the supplied video. It separates an exact on-screen name from a family-level visual match, keeping every identification at the level the frame can carry.

The two visible long guns in the supplied penthouse frame are both AK-pattern rifles. Each has the Kalashnikov receiver line, gas system, front-sight arrangement, and curved magazine. Their furniture differs, which made the right-hand rifle easy to misread in the dark scene. Handguns also appear in the group.

The scene supports multiple AK configurations, but it never names either one or shows a customization menu. Treat them as separate visible AK-pattern builds until Rockstar supplies the in-game model names.

GTA 6 draws a clean mechanical line between its shotguns. The masked robber points a side-by-side double barrel across the counter. Both muzzles are visible in the frontal shot, and the paired barrel layout is unmistakable even though the exact make is not.

Seconds later, the store owner comes outside with a wood-stock pump-action shotgun. Its single barrel, magazine tube, and sliding fore-end put it in a different class. The footage supports the action type. The manufacturer remains unreadable, and both the Mossberg 500 and Remington 870 families have too many close visual variants for an exact model call.

Semiautomatic pistols appear throughout the video: in the opening robbery art, the store and jewelry scenes, target shooting, moving vehicles, and the office fight. Most have the squared slide and polymer-frame proportions common to modern striker-fired service pistols.

They are modern full-size semiautomatic pistols. None carries a readable Glock mark or a clear model name. Until an in-game menu supplies one, “Glock-like” is a visual comparison rather than a Glock 17, Glock 19, or other exact SKU identification.

GTA 6 is showing guns as objects in the world, not only icons in a weapon wheel. Jason retrieves the suppressed AR-pattern pistol from a vehicle. The Duke 556 lies on an office floor and receives a pickup prompt. The HUD changes weapon silhouette and ammunition count after the pickup. These are small scenes, but they tie storage, pickup, and use to visible objects.

The final carry limit remains unseen, and the scene never establishes a universal vehicle-storage rule. It does make the car look like part of the loadout system. That could give weapon choice more weight than the old pattern of carrying an entire armory at once.
