Federal Terminal Ascent P65CRDTA1 is a 130-grain 6.5 Creedmoor hunting load built for larger game and longer shots. Federal bonds the lead core to the jacket and uses a solid copper shank behind it.

The current product page lists 2,800 fps, a 0.532 G1 ballistic coefficient, and a 0.263 G7 coefficient. Federal also uses a Slipstream polymer tip and AccuChannel groove in the loaded round.

The construction puts Terminal Ascent in the bonded elk and larger-game group rather than the general deer group. Hunters still need to confirm accuracy, measured velocity, and impact conditions for the distance they intend to shoot.
