Overview
Hornady Critical Duty 90926 loads a 220-grain FlexLock bullet at 975 fps and 464 ft-lbs from a 5-inch test barrel. It is a heavy +P load built for full-size duty pistols and barrier performance.
Use it only in a pistol whose manufacturer permits 45 Auto +P ammunition. The heavy bullet and higher pressure increase recoil, and the load remains a poor substitute for a more powerful woods cartridge in grizzly country.
