Nosler Trophy Grade .308 Winchester 165 Grain AccuBond Brass Cased Centerfire Rifle Ammo, 20 Rounds, 60049
Nosler Trophy Grade 165gr AccuBond is a premium bonded .308 hunting load built around Nosler's 165-grain AccuBond bullet. The bonded lead-core, polymer-tip design is meant to give hunters a balance of controlled expansion, useful ballistic coefficient, and broad game fit without stepping into lead-free copper bullets or long-range-only match-style hunting bullets.
The Trophy Grade 165gr AccuBond load is commonly listed at 2,800 fps from a 24-inch barrel with 2,874 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Nosler publishes the 165gr AccuBond bullet at 0.475 G1 BC, higher than Fusion's 0.395 but below ELD-X's 0.552. That places AccuBond in the middle of the BC hierarchy, which is where many hunters prefer it: high enough for 400-yard shots on deer, conservative enough that wind estimation errors do not compound into misses at realistic hunting distances.
The case for AccuBond over ELD-X, Terminal Ascent, or TTSX comes down to versatility. ELD-X is better for pure long-range hunting, Terminal Ascent is stronger for elk and heavier game, and TTSX is required where lead is banned. AccuBond is the middle path when none of those specific conditions apply: a bonded, polymer-tipped hunting load for deer, mule deer, black bear, and elk-size use inside practical .308 distances.
