Nexus Firearms
D2 tool steel bolt assembly that fixes the documented soft-bolt peening and out-of-battery detonation issue on the CZ Scorpion platform
The Nexus Firearms Enhanced Bolt is a durability and risk-reduction upgrade for the CZ Scorpion platform. Nexus describes the factory bolt as softer material that can peen around the striker-block hole as the hammer rides over the bolt during reset. If that peening forms a burr, it can hold the striker block depressed and increase out-of-battery detonation risk.
Nexus's Enhanced Bolt replaces the factory unit with a D2 tool steel body heat-treated to a minimum of 58 HRC, finished in Nickel Boron coating, and paired with 17-4 heat-treated internal parts. The goal is to resist hammer peening at the striker-block interface and keep the bolt assembly geometry more stable over high round counts.
This is a strong upgrade candidate for Scorpion owners running aftermarket triggers, binary triggers, or high round counts. It is compatible with both the original EVO 3 family and Scorpion 3+ models. Nexus also sells a bolt-only variant for shooters supplying their own internals, while the complete kit is the simpler purchase for most owners.
Add the Nexus Firearms Enhanced Bolt Complete (CZ Scorpion EVO 3 / 3+) to your build and see how it enhances your platform.
