Overview

The Griffin Armament M2 Modular Sight system solves a niche but real problem: shooters who run both red dot rifles (need 12 o'clock BUIS) and LPVO rifles (need 45-degree offset BUIS) historically had to buy two completely different sight sets. The M2 base hardware lets the same front and rear sight bodies install in either orientation by swapping the rail clamp module. Buy one set, use on both rifle configurations, swap the mount when you swap the optic.

Construction is 17-4 stainless steel for the sight bodies with a Melonite QPQ finish for corrosion resistance. The folding mechanism is spring-tensioned with a positive deployment detent. Adjustments are tool-free for windage on the rear and require a tool for front sight elevation, consistent with most steel BUIS in this price tier. The rear aperture is a single match aperture, not a dual-leaf flip; Griffin's design choice was simplicity over the dual-aperture CQB flip found on the MBUS Pro.

Where the M2 fits in the BUIS hierarchy: it's priced between the Magpul MBUS Pro and the Midwest Industries Combat Rifle Sights, gives you the modular swap capability nobody else offers at this price, and pairs cleanly with Griffin's broader catalog of muzzle devices and suppressor mounts. If you don't need the swap capability, the regular MBUS Pro is the better-known alternative at a similar price. If you do, the M2 is the only set that does it without buying additional hardware.
