Overview
The HB Industries Stribog Short Stroke Buffer is the cheapest meaningful reliability upgrade on the Stribog platform. The factory buffer lets the bolt travel far enough rearward that, under certain conditions, a spent case can drop behind the bolt and lock the gun up mid-string. HBI's longer one-piece polyurethane buffer shortens the rearward stroke just enough to close that gap.
Beyond the reliability fix, the polyurethane is slightly softer than the factory pad, so it dampens and distributes bolt energy back into the receiver. Felt recoil drops noticeably and bolt return is faster, which speeds reset for follow-up shots. Drop-in replacement with no other changes required.
Compatibility covers the full Gen 2 Stribog lineup: SP9A1 (direct blowback), SP9A3 (roller-delayed), and the 10mm and 45 ACP variants. Gen 1 9mm Stribogs that use a bolt with two recoil rods are not compatible. HBI explicitly states the buffer is for semi-automatic use only; do not pair with the Franklin Armory BFSIII binary trigger or any select-fire conversion.
