TANDEMKROSS
Drop-in automatic bolt release for the Ruger 10/22. Releasing the bolt becomes a short pull on the charging handle instead of a two-hand operation.

The 10/22's bolt release is the one factory control almost every owner eventually complains about. To send a locked-back bolt forward you have to hold the bolt lock down with one hand while pulling and releasing the charging handle with the other, which is awkward on a bench and impossible with a shooting hand still on the grip.
The Guardian is a small steel plate that changes the geometry so the bolt lock disengages on its own. After install, the shooter pulls slightly back on the bolt handle and lets go, and the bolt runs forward. That turns a two-hand operation into one motion the support hand can do without leaving the rifle, which is the difference between a clean and a slow stage on a timer.
The plate is finished in black oxide for corrosion resistance and drops in during a normal trigger group disassembly with no fitting. At $13.99 it is the cheapest control upgrade on the platform and one of the first things worth doing to a 10/22 that gets shot on a clock.
