Overview
The Ruger BX-1 is the flush-fitting magazine around which the 10/22 action was designed. Ten .22 LR cartridges rotate inside a compact polymer body instead of stacking down a long box, so the magazine stays inside the stock's profile and does not interfere with a bench, pack, barricade, or low prone position. Steel feed lips preserve the factory presentation geometry.
Ruger's current product page lists the BX-1 for factory 10/22 rifles, 22 Charger pistols, SR-22 rifles, and .22 LR Ruger American Rimfire rifles. The custom fixed-receiver platform uses the same Ruger BX magazine interface, so the BX-1 is the conservative first magazine for function testing a new receiver-up build.
