Ruger
Value .22 LR bolt gun that feeds from 10/22 BX magazines, with an adjustable Marksman trigger and interchangeable stock modules.
0-10 Scale Across 8 Axes
The Ruger American Rimfire is the bolt-action answer to "I already own a 10/22 and want a bolt gun that shares my magazines." It feeds from the BX-1 10-round rotary magazine and accepts every 10/22 BX magazine, so a shooter with a drawer full of BX-15s and BX-25s does not buy a new magazine ecosystem to add a bolt gun.
The rifle carries Ruger's Marksman Adjustable trigger, user-tunable between roughly 3 and 5 pounds, plus a Power Bedding integral bedding block that locates the receiver and free-floats the cold hammer-forged barrel. A 60-degree bolt throw clears most scopes, and the receiver-mounted bolt release lets the bolt come out without pulling the trigger. Interchangeable stock modules swap comb height and length of pull, so it fits a youth shooter and a grown adult off the same rifle.
It is a sporter, not a precision rig. The pencil-profile barrel is lighter and less consistent than the heavy barrels on a Savage Mark II FV-SR or a Tikka T1x, and most variants are not threaded. For a hunting and training bolt gun that shares the most common rimfire magazine in America, it is the obvious value pick.
