Overview

Geissele's Super Precision line is best known for LPVO mounts, but the Aimpoint Micro version applies the same engineering to a red dot. The mount clamps to the rail with a nut-and-bolt interface and indexes on shear lugs, which is why it holds zero through drops and hard handling that loosen lever mounts. It is a fixed mount, so removal takes a driver rather than a thumb.

Three heights cover the useful range: an absolute co-witness height, a lower 1/3, and a 1.93 inch heads-up height for shooting squared up behind armor. Passive aiming under night vision wants the 2.26 inch tier, which this line does not offer. Note that 1.93 inch is the only one of the three for which Geissele publishes an optical centerline figure; the absolute and lower 1/3 SKUs are sold by label alone, and retailer spec fields for them are not consistent with each other. If you need a specific centerline number, ask Geissele or buy from a maker that prints it.

At 2.5 ounces in the 1.93 inch version it is not the lightest micro mount available, and it costs more than a plain fixed clamp. What it buys is a rail interface with a documented reputation for staying put.

Key Features

  • Absolute co-witness, lower 1/3, and 1.93" heights (1.93" is the only published centerline)
  • Aimpoint Micro footprint covers T-1, T-2, H-1, H-2, and CompM5
  • High-clamping-force nut-and-bolt rail interface
  • Shear lugs index the mount against recoil
  • 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hardcoat anodizing
  • Black and Desert Dirt Color finishes
  • Fixed mount with no lever to snag or loosen

Pros

  • +Rail interface holds zero through hard use and drops
  • +Three published heights including a 1.93 inch heads-up option
  • +Same clamping engineering as Geissele's proven scope mounts
  • +No lever to snag on gear or work loose

Cons

  • Not quick-detach; removal needs a driver
  • Heavier than Scalarworks and Arisaka micro mounts
  • Geissele prints an optical centerline figure only for the 1.93 inch SKU; absolute and lower 1/3 are sold by label alone
