Overview
The HC43 V2 No Fin fits Glock 43, 43X, and 48 slides plus the aftermarket slide families Herrington lists, including the Shadow Systems CR920. The body is 7075 aluminum in black anodize or FDE Cerakote, and Herrington's own testing measures a 31.4 percent reduction in muzzle flip depending on the 9mm load and model.
Installation requires Loctite 243 on both the barrel and set-screw threads. Herrington specifies 18 inch-pounds for 8-32 screws or 11 inch-pounds for 6-32 screws, followed by a 24 to 48 hour cure. Herrington also calls for a 500-round break-in through the threaded barrel before the comp goes on, does not recommend plated, bi-metal, or frangible ammunition, and explicitly excludes SilencerCo, Bar-Sto, KKM, and EFK barrels.
