Game Changer PRO Compensator (.22LR)

The Game Changer PRO is the steel answer to the aluminum Game Changer, and the difference is deliberate: at 2.83 ounces it puts more than twice the mass out past the muzzle. On a rimfire pistol that weighs two pounds, that much nose weight materially slows how fast the front sight lifts and how far it travels between targets, which is the whole game in Steel Challenge and rimfire NRL. The vent geometry sends smoke, flash, and gas out at dual 45 degree angles away from the line of sight instead of straight up into it.

Stainless steel picks up rimfire fouling faster than aluminum does, so TANDEMKROSS coats the black version with a proprietary Easy-Clean finish. The comp threads onto any standard 1/2x28 barrel and ships with an o-ring so it can be clocked to the correct position and snugged down without permanent modification. A flat washer is included as well; TANDEMKROSS recommends the washer-then-o-ring-then-comp order on guns running a thread adapter such as the TaurusTX 22, Walther P22, and Ruger SR22, and says the washer is usually unnecessary on fixed barrels thicker than .800 inches. A separate five-piece washer kit is sold for barrels that will not time correctly on the standard hardware.

The caliber rating is where the PRO separates from the base model. TANDEMKROSS lists it for .22LR, .22WMR, .223, 5.7x28mm, 5.56x45mm, and .17 HMR, which brings the Ruger-5.7 and the Ruger LC Carbine into the supported list alongside the whole Mark III and Mark IV family, the Ruger 10/22 and 22 Charger, Ruger Precision Rimfire, the Browning Buck Mark, TaurusTX 22, Walther P22, S&W SW22 Victory, the M&P22 Compact and M&P 15-22, Tippmann Arms M4-22, and the Kel-Tec CP33 and CMR30. Dimensions are .99 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches long, slightly shorter and slimmer than the aluminum version.
