Overview

The Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Tactical is the most complete .22 LR pistol available. The factory 1/2x28 threaded barrel accepts any standard .22 LR suppressor, and the polymer 22/45 grip frame matches the 1911 grip angle that most shooters find natural. The single-action trigger breaks cleanly at approximately 2.25-3 lbs with minimal overtravel.

The one-button takedown is the Mark IV's defining improvement over earlier Mark II and III models, which were notoriously difficult to disassemble. Since .22 LR is dirty ammunition that requires frequent cleaning, this feature alone justifies the Mark IV over any predecessor. The top Picatinny rail accepts red dot optics via low-profile mounts.

Volquartsen, TandemKross, and Pac-Lite offer extensive aftermarket support: match triggers, compensators, barrels, and complete upper assemblies. The Mark IV platform has the deepest .22 LR pistol upgrade ecosystem available.
