The Licentia Arms PVS-14 L3 High-FOM is the top of the standard Licentia PVS-14 line at $5,299. Same L3Harris Gen 3 unfilmed white phosphor tube as the 24UA, same hand-fit housing, same published data sheet. The difference is the FOM floor: 2376 minimum versus 2160 on the 24UA, with corresponding tighter pass criteria on SNR, halo, and resolution.
The 300-FOM premium delivers a measurable but field-marginal improvement. In side-by-side testing under low ambient light a high-FOM unit will resolve slightly more detail and produce a slightly cleaner image, but most users running the unit under stress, in motion, or while clearing terrain will not notice the difference between a 2160 tube and a 2376 tube. The right buy if the goal is the best stock-config Licentia PVS-14, the wrong buy if the goal is the best practical value in the L3 tier.
