Overview
The 810velocity Icarus is a two-position active reset system with Safe and FRD positions. Its mechanical forced reset is tuned for the M&P 2.0 recoil impulse, with short take-up, a crisp break, and aggressive positive return. Each trigger function fires one shot. The body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for strength, wear resistance, and stable geometry under M&P 2.0 slide velocity, with hardened, heat-treated internals and a PLA+ button. Finish options are Gold and Red anodized.
The Icarus drops in as a replacement for the OEM backplate with no frame modification and is compatible with most M&P 2.0 and 1.0 hosts. 810velocity lists 9mm, 10mm, .40, and .45 across Full, Compact, Subcompact, Metal, Performance, and Thumb Safety models; it does not work in Shield, SD, FPC, or Bodyguard models. Installation is aimed at experienced builders familiar with M&P internals and requires full function testing with duty ammunition. The Icarus is made in the USA.
