FIW M&P 2.0 Selectable Assisted Reset System (V1.1)

The FIW M&P 2.0 Selectable Assisted Reset System (ARS) V1.1 is designed by Voltz Prints and manufactured by Freedom Industrial Works. Every component, including the spring, is heat-resistant stainless steel, so the parts hold their machined geometry over repeated cycling. The reset configuration is selectable, and FIW's install guide has the user set the selector to SEMI before tuning. The pistol remains semi-automatic; each round takes its own trigger function.

The trip is intentionally built with material to spare so it can be fit to each pistol. FIW's tuning method is to mark the trip tip, cycle the slide, and sand lightly until the trip covers about half of the safety plunger. Full-size .45 ACP pistols need minimal to no fitting, 9mm and .40 S&W full-size and compact frames need light tuning, and subcompacts need the most material removal; FIW's guide adds that a full-size 10mm typically needs none. If the stiff factory safety plunger spring makes the trip hang on the slide in semi mode, FIW recommends a half-strength safety plunger spring. The system is made for the M&P 2.0 only and carries a lifetime warranty.
