The factory single-action trigger is decent at 2.25-3 lb, but it carries a polymer trigger shoe, a magazine disconnect that locks up the gun without a mag inserted, and creep that limits group size at 25 yards. The Volquartsen kit replaces every internal that matters: a CNC-machined disconnector, target hammer with hammer bushing, target sear, and target trigger with plunger and spring all drop in together as a complete fire-control swap.

The result is a 2.25 lb break with adjustable pretravel and overtravel screws and zero magazine disconnect, which means the gun fires whether or not a mag is inserted (preferred for bullseye and competition shooters who reload between strings). The kit fits every Mark IV variant Ruger has shipped: the standard Mark IV Target, Mark IV Hunter, Mark IV Competition, Mark IV 22/45, Mark IV 22/45 Lite, and Mark IV 22/45 Tactical.
