The Dark Storm DS-15 Typhoon Fixed Magazine uses a patented 7075 billet lower with a factory-retained 10-round polymer magazine. That receiver-level design is materially different from installing a CompMag or magazine lock on an ordinary AR lower. Loading is done through the top of the receiver with the bolt locked back. The rifle remains a semiautomatic, direct-impingement design.
Confirm the exact model with the receiving FFL before paying. The specific rifle has a black finish, 16-inch SOCOM-profile 1:9 barrel, carbine-length gas system, 13-inch M-LOK handguard, and ambidextrous charging handle and safety. An ordinary fixed-mag conversion does not gain the factory receiver design, and converting a manually transferred rifle back to semiautomatic operation is not a compliance path.
