The Dark Storm DS-15 Typhoon Fixed Magazine is an AR-15 engineered specifically for sale in Washington, California, New York, Maryland, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The lower receiver is a 7075 billet unit with Dark Storm's patented fixed-magazine system: a factory non-detachable 10-round polymer magazine, which sidesteps Washington's HB 1240 ban on semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines and one or more banned features. Loading is done through the top of the receiver with the bolt locked back, similar to a Garand or M14 stripper-clip workflow.

The rifle ships with a 16-inch SOCOM-profile barrel (also offered in 14.5" mid-length and a .300 BLK pistol-length variant), a 13-inch M-LOK handguard, full ambi controls (safety, mag release, bolt catch), and configuration-dependent compliant furniture.
