The Paragon 1x18 uses an etched 2 MOA dot and 68 MOA ring instead of a projected red-dot emitter. That gives many shooters with astigmatism a sharper aiming reference, while red and green illumination makes the reticle stand out in changing light. Its 2.39-inch body is compact, but it still has a defined eye box and will not allow the same loose head position as a reflex sight.
