Glock 45 Gen6 COA

The G45 Gen6 COA is the factory-optic version of the Glock 45 crossover: a G17-length frame with a G19-length 4.02-inch slide, shipped with an Aimpoint COA enclosed red dot installed at the factory. It keeps the full 17+1 grip and capacity of the G17 with the shorter slide of the G19, and the optic mounts directly to the slide.

The defining feature is the A-CUT interface that Glock and Aimpoint developed jointly. A full-length dovetail is machined into the slide, and the COA locks in with a front hook and a rear wedge. There are no adapter plates and no separate footprint screws carrying recoil. The wedge transfers lateral recoil into the dovetail wall instead of loading the mounting screws, which removes the zero-shift failure mode that plagues plate-mounted pistol optics. The COA runs a 3.5 MOA dot, a sealed enclosed emitter that resists rain and debris, four night-vision settings, and a CR2032 rated past 50,000 hours.

The package ships with three 17-round magazines and the full Gen6 frame updates: RTF6 dual-pattern texture, integrated palm swell, fixed beavertail, undercut trigger guard, and a flat-faced trigger. Halifax Regional Police adopted the G45 Gen6 COA as a duty platform in 2026. Existing G45, G17, and G19 holsters cut for an optic fit without modification. The Gen6 trigger housing is not interchangeable with Gen5, so confirm Gen6 fitment before buying aftermarket triggers.
