Overview

The Kriss Vector is the most polarizing PCC on the market, and the polarization is deserved. Kriss's Super V system redirects bolt travel downward into a buffer block instead of straight back into the shooter, dramatically flattening muzzle rise during rapid fire. In practice this means follow-up shots come back on target faster than any other 9mm PCC, and the Vector tracks like a heavier gun than its 5.6-pound weight suggests. The tradeoff is a tall sight axis, an unconventional manual of arms, and a price that has not dropped meaningfully in a decade.

The Gen II SDP is the pistol variant, sold with a 5.5-inch threaded barrel and the original Kriss arm brace. It accepts standard Glock 17 magazines through the factory magwell, and Kriss includes a 17-round mag in the box; aftermarket Glock 33-round sticks fit without modification. Controls are fully ambidextrous including the magazine release and bolt catch, and the lower receiver carries M-LOK slots at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions for lights and lasers. The flat-top upper accepts any optic, but the high bore axis means most shooters end up running an offset red dot or a tall co-witness mount.

The Vector is a distinct buy. The Super V system is genuinely effective for shooters who train rapid-fire transitions, and Kriss's reliability has been solid across the Gen II refresh. It is not a quiet PCC unsuppressed, the action is mechanically loud, and the futuristic styling alienates traditionalists. For home defense it is a competent platform with excellent recoil management; for competition it has a small but loyal following in PCC divisions that allow its profile.
